McLaren Vale Yoga & Wine South Australia

Getaway to one of the most versatile destinations on the planet, Mclaren Vale. World class wine, stunning beaches, delectable farm to table cuisine, a buzzing art scene and a laid back country feel are just some of what this special place has to offer. This is THE spot to truly de-stress, energise and unwind.

There’s nowhere else in the world like South Australia’s McLaren Vale, but if you were to make a comparison Italy’s Amalfi Coast would come close if you switched cosmopolitan for country. Picture this... 30km of rugged coastline backing onto bountiful farms and vineyards, flanked by the Mt Lofty Ranges that define the regions borders. Team this jaw dropping landscape with a mediterranean climate that heavily influences the food and wine offerings and you have yourself a little piece of Europe just 45 minutes south of Adelaide.

Each morning begins with a gentle yoga session and the days are spent sampling the best the region has to offer.

On day 1 be blown away by the unique dining experience at the d’Arenburg Cube. This iconic McLaren Vale landmark could be likened to a giant size Rubix Cube that has been dramatically placed in the middle of a vineyard. But it’s what happens inside that’s even more fabulous. Enjoy panoramic views across McLaren Vale in the quirky restaurant where the senses come alive. Chairs seem to explode out of the ground with colour, eclectic art hangs from the walls and the hero of the day is the tantalising 11 course degustation lunch prepared by the Michelin star chefs.

On day two sit back, relax and take in the sites, smells and tastes of McLaren Vale on a tour of the local wineries. Best known for Shiraz, McLaren Vale also excels in the production of ultra-premium Grenache and Cabernet. Mediterranean varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo and Sangiovese are also very well suited climatically.

On day 3 you will have free time to immerse yourself in the regions natural wonders, hike or cycle one of they many trails, explore the local art gallery’s, relax at the beach or simply find yourself by the lake with a good book, under the shade of a 200 year old gum.

Our last evening is spent enjoying a 3 course farewell dinner at Serefino Vineyard with new and old friends reflecting on an amazing experience shared.

“I love watching the profound effect yoga has on my students, a transformation takes place from the moment they step on to the mat to when their eyes open after Savasana. Yoga has been invaluable in my life as a mum of two young children and also in my previous corporate job. Whatever your situation, yoga can help you navigate the roller coaster that is life. It is my pleasure to share this gift with you.”
