Accommodation

Perched high amidst the lush Daintree Rainforest, the Treehouse Retreat at Silky Oaks Lodge offers a beautifully serene escape where style meets nature. This 50 m² haven features luxurious king (or twin) beds and an open-plan lounge flowing effortlessly onto a balcony adorned with the lodge’s signature hammock. Floor-to-ceiling glass invites verdant treetop views indoors, while just steps away lies a private deck with a decadent stone bathtub and open-air shower—perfect for a twilight soak under the rainforest canopy. The seamless blend of contemporary comfort and elemental immersion creates a sanctuary that invites you to breathe deeply, unwind, and reconnect with the ancient beauty of the forest.

Meals

Each day on retreat is punctuated with delicious meals in the Treehouse Restaurant, an open-plan dining haven nestled in the rainforest canopy. Guests enjoy flavourful, produce led menus inspired by the seasons, with fresh greens and native ingredients harvested straight from the lush onsite kitchen garden. As you dine, sweeping views of the rainforest unfold before you, accompanied by the soothing soundtrack of forest birdsong and the gentle flow of the Mossman River below, a feast for all the senses.

Experiences

This retreat blends Qi Gong, yoga, breathwork, meditation, and heartfelt shared experiences to nurture wellbeing and foster genuine connection. Highlights include a rainforest bathing walk at Mossman Gorge and a Daintree River wildlife cruise, with time to personalise your journey through optional spa treatments, tarot readings, PSYCH-K® sessions, or a trip to Port Douglas.

Between sessions, the Daintree invites unhurried exploration, swim in the crystal-clear Mossman River, explore on complimentary e-bikes, or wander the lodge’s serene Fig Tree Rapids walking track for moments of awe, presence, and deep connection with nature.

  • Check-in to Silky Oaks Lodge
  • 4pm Welcome circle with restorative yoga and meditation. Arrive, unwind, and gently settle into the rainforest. Connect within and set powerful intentions for the transformative days ahead.
  • 5pm Pre-dinner drinks and canapés on the riverfront
  • 6pm 3 Course Dinner at Treehouse restaurant, with matched wines, hosted by Emily Spurling
  • Overnight, Silky Oaks Lodge
  • 7am Qi Gong & Breathwork
    Cleanse your Qi and restore balance through gentle Qi Gong and Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) to calm the mind and harmonise your energy system.

    As your time at Silky Oaks Lodge comes to a close, we hope your stay has been both restorative and memorable. Treehouse check-out is at 10.30am, though you are most welcome to continue enjoying the lodge facilities until your departure.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Emily brings a warm, down to earth energy that makes everyone feel at ease, whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practising for years. Her classes are a rich blend of styles, often weaving in chakra work, breath practices for every occasion, and mindful movement designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit.

On retreat, Emily creates a supportive space where you can truly unwind, reconnect with yourself, and explore new ways of moving, breathing and being. You’ll leave not only feeling incredible, but with a personalised “toolbox” of practices to take home, helping you carry that retreat glow into everyday life.

Karma Being Yoga Retreats – Terms & Conditions

By booking a Karma Being Yoga Retreat, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Booking & Deposit
A 25% deposit is required to secure your place.

Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 2 months prior to the retreat start date.

Cancellations made within 2 months of the retreat start date are non-refundable.

2. Balance Payment
The remaining balance is due 2 months prior to the retreat start date.

If the balance is not received by this date, your booking may be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

3. Cancellations & Refunds
Your Cancellation:

More than 2 months before retreat: Full refund of deposit and any balance paid.

Less than 2 months before retreat: No refund.

Our Cancellation:

In the unlikely event that Karma Being must cancel the retreat, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur, such as flights or other travel arrangements.

4. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking.

This should cover trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and loss of belongings.

You are fully responsible for arranging your own travel insurance.

5. Media Consent
Photographs and/or videos may be taken during the retreat for marketing and promotional purposes.

By booking, you give consent for your image to be used unless you advise us otherwise in writing before the retreat begins.

6. Force Majeure / Events Beyond Our Control
Sometimes events occur that are beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, political instability, or travel restrictions).

If such an event prevents the retreat from going ahead, we will do our best to offer you a transfer to a future retreat or a full refund.

7. Assumption of Risk & Responsibility
You acknowledge that participation in yoga, excursions, and other retreat activities is voluntary and at your own risk.

You are responsible for ensuring you are medically and physically fit to participate.

Please inform us of any relevant medical conditions before the retreat.
