Last week we talked about protein. The real targets. The hormonal science. The gap between what most women are eating and what their body actually needs.
This week I’m following through on a promise.
Because one of the strongest principles inside the Strong Calm Lean Method is this: you do not have to give up the foods you love to feel well, build strength, and look your best.
This burger is proof.
No bun. No guilt. No compromise on flavour. Portobello mushrooms as the vessel, a smoked paprika beef patty, fermented BBQ sauce, fresh tomato and a little grated carrot. It is the kind of meal that proves healthy eating doesn’t have to feel like deprivation, it just has to be clever.
Will it hold together like a traditional burger? Not exactly. Will it completely satisfy a craving and leave you feeling nourished rather than heavy? Absolutely.

Why This Works Inside The Strong Calm Lean Method
This recipe delivers 31 grams of protein from a single serve, a meaningful contribution toward your daily target. The extra lean mince keeps fat in check without sacrificing flavour. The Portobello mushrooms add B vitamins, potassium and fibre. And the fermented BBQ sauce? That’s a gut health bonus hiding in plain sight.
The principle behind every recipe in the Strong Calm Lean collection is simple: food that nourishes your body should also be food you genuinely want to eat. Cravings are not the enemy. Clever, satisfying ways to meet them are one of the most sustainable tools you have.
If you’d like a personalised approach to nutrition, strength and body composition, one that fits your hormonal stage, your life, and the foods you actually enjoy, I’d love to help.
